Day 1: Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport – Transfer to Arusha

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be welcomed by your safari representative and transferred to your accommodation in Arusha. Depending on your arrival time, you can relax at the lodge, enjoy the swimming pool or explore the surrounding area.

This is a perfect opportunity to rest and prepare for your exciting Tanzania safari adventure.

Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire National Park – Game Drive

After breakfast, depart from Arusha and drive to Tarangire National Park for your first wildlife adventure. The park is famous for its large elephant herds, impressive baobab trees and beautiful landscapes.

Enjoy a full-day game drive through the park, where you may encounter elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes, lions and a variety of bird species. The Tarangire River attracts many animals, particularly during the dry season, making it an excellent location for wildlife viewing.

After an exciting day exploring the park, drive to your accommodation for dinner and relaxation.

Day 3: Tarangire Area to Lake Natron – Nature Walk and Waterfalls

After breakfast, travel towards the remote and spectacular Lake Natron, located beneath the impressive Ol Doinyo Lengai volcano.

Lake Natron is famous for its highly alkaline waters and its importance as a breeding area for lesser flamingos. The surrounding landscapes offer a completely different experience from the traditional safari parks.

Upon arrival, explore the area with a local guide. Enjoy a nature walk towards the beautiful waterfalls, where you can admire the surrounding vegetation and enjoy a refreshing swim where conditions permit.

Spend the evening relaxing at your camp while enjoying the peaceful atmosphere of this extraordinary destination.

Day 4: Lake Natron – Morning Walk and Transfer to Karatu

Wake up early and enjoy a guided walk along the shores of Lake Natron. The morning light creates beautiful scenery across the lake, while flamingos can often be seen gathering in the shallow waters.

Learn about the lake’s unique ecosystem, local wildlife and the surrounding Maasai communities. After breakfast, begin your journey towards Karatu through the beautiful landscapes of northern Tanzania.

Arrive at your lodge in the afternoon and enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure.

Day 5: Karatu to Serengeti National Park – Game Drive

After breakfast, depart for Serengeti National Park, travelling through the beautiful Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

Along the way, you may have an opportunity to visit a traditional Maasai village and learn about the community’s culture, traditions and daily lifestyle.

Continue towards the famous Serengeti plains, known for their extraordinary wildlife and the Great Wildebeest Migration. Enjoy a game drive as you explore the park, looking for lions, elephants, giraffes, cheetahs, leopards, zebras and wildebeests.

Arrive at your tented camp in the evening for dinner and an overnight stay in the heart of the wilderness.

Day 6: Full-Day Game Drive in Serengeti National Park

Enjoy a full day exploring the incredible wilderness of Serengeti National Park. Begin with an early morning game drive when wildlife is particularly active and predators may still be returning from their night-time hunting activities.

After your morning adventure, return to camp for breakfast and some relaxation. Later, head out again for another exciting game drive across the endless plains.

Depending on the season and wildlife movements, you may witness large herds of wildebeests and zebras, as well as predators such as lions, cheetahs and leopards.

Return to your camp in the evening after an unforgettable day in the Serengeti.

Day 7: Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Crater – Wildlife Exploration

After breakfast, depart from Serengeti and continue towards the magnificent Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for an unforgettable game drive across its remarkable landscapes. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is home to a rich variety of wildlife, including lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeests, hyenas and numerous bird species.

The crater is also one of the best places in Tanzania to look for the endangered black rhinoceros.

Enjoy a picnic lunch during your exploration before continuing with your wildlife adventure. Depending on the schedule and local conditions, you may also enjoy a guided walk along the crater rim, offering spectacular views of the surrounding highlands.

Later, continue towards the Lake Eyasi area for dinner and overnight accommodation.

Day 8: Lake Eyasi – Hadzabe and Datoga Cultural Experience – Karatu

Start your morning with a cultural experience at Lake Eyasi, home to the Hadzabe and Datoga communities.

Meet members of the Hadzabe community, one of Tanzania’s traditional hunter-gatherer groups. Learn about their traditional hunting techniques, food gathering, fire-making skills and close connection with nature.

You will also have an opportunity to meet the Datoga people and discover their traditional lifestyle, craftsmanship and cultural practices.

This experience offers a valuable insight into the cultural diversity of Tanzania and the traditional ways of life that continue to exist in this region.

After the cultural activities, drive back towards Karatu, where you can relax at your lodge and enjoy dinner.

Day 9: Lake Manyara National Park – Mto wa Mbu Village Cycling Tour – Arusha

After breakfast, depart for Lake Manyara National Park for another exciting wildlife experience.

The park is famous for its beautiful groundwater forest, large troops of baboons, elephants, giraffes, zebras and diverse birdlife. It is also known for its occasional sightings of tree-climbing lions.

Enjoy a game drive through the park while exploring its different habitats and wildlife-rich landscapes.

Later, continue to Mto wa Mbu village for a cycling tour. Ride through the local community, discover traditional farms and experience the everyday lifestyle of the people living in this vibrant village.

You may also enjoy a traditional Tanzanian meal at a local home before driving back to Arusha for your final evening.

Day 10: Arusha – Transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport
