Day 1 – Arrival & Transfer to East Usambara Mountains

Upon arrival, meet your professional birding guide and travel to the beautiful East Usambara Mountains. Depending on your arrival time, enjoy your first birdwatching session while exploring the lower forest before checking into your lodge inside Amani Nature Reserve.

Day 2 – Full Day Birding in Amani Nature Reserve

Spend the entire day exploring the famous Amani Nature Reserve, one of Africa’s oldest coastal forests. Search for Usambara Akalat, Amani Sunbird, Green-headed Oriole, Fischer’s Turaco, African Broadbill, Trumpeter Hornbill, White-chested Alethe, and many endemic forest species while enjoying peaceful forest walks.

Day 3 – East Usambara to West Usambara Mountains
