N.B Please note that Gorilla tracking permits in Rwanda is high price and are on high demand and get sold out quickly. We hence advised you to book your gorilla safari to Rwanda early enough (usually three months in advance)to avoid disappointments of missing out on permits as you cant go trekking gorillas in Rwanda without these permits.
Our safari driver will meet you on arrival at Kanombe international airport and drive you to Ruhengeri. Dinner and overnight at Gorilla Nest lodge/Mountain Gorilla view lodge/ Muhabura hotel.
This is a day you venture into the Virungas in search for the mighty gentle mountain gorillas ; You will wake up and have a morning breakfast, thereafter head to the briefing point with packaged lunch for official briefing on conduct while in the jungle during gorilla trekking. The time to be spent is unpredictable, depending on the movement of the gorillas and it may take about 4-5 hours. It is advisable to have packed lunch plus enough drinking water in-case of long hours of gorilla trekking. Rain jackets and pair strong walking jungle boots is highly recommended. On locating the gorillas, the experience is so exhilarating and will be well worth the trouble. Spend a maximum of one hour with the gorillas then return to your lodge.After lunch proceed to Lake Kivu where you will have dinner and overnight at Kivu Serena hotel/Kivu Sun Hotel /Bethanie guest house
After breakfast enjoy the shores of Lake Kivu with swimming or take a speed boat on the lake. After lunch drive back to Kigali ending your safari with a transfer to the airport to board your home flight.End of service
