The 6 Days 5 Nights Marangu Route is one of the most popular ways to climb Mount Kilimanjaro (5,895m). Often referred to as the “Coca-Cola Route,” it is the oldest and only Kilimanjaro route that offers comfortable mountain hut accommodation instead of camping. This makes it an excellent choice for climbers who prefer sleeping in permanent huts while enjoying a classic Kilimanjaro trekking experience.
Unlike other routes that require camping, the Marangu Route features well-established huts with bunk beds, dining areas, and shared facilities. The six-day itinerary includes an extra acclimatization day at Horombo Hut, significantly improving your chances of reaching Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa.
During your adventure, you’ll pass through dense rainforest, heath and moorland, alpine desert, and the arctic summit zone. Along the way, you’ll witness spectacular landscapes, unique flora and fauna, and breathtaking views of Mawenzi Peak before standing on the Roof of Africa.
At Adventure Makers Tanzania, our experienced mountain guides and dedicated support team are committed to providing a safe, enjoyable, and unforgettable Kilimanjaro climbing experience from your arrival until your successful descent.
