Day 1 – Arrival in Arusha

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), you will be warmly welcomed by an Adventure Makers Tanzania representative and transferred to your luxury lodge in Arusha. As you drive through the vibrant city surrounded by views of Mount Meru, you’ll get your first glimpse of Tanzania’s natural beauty. After check-in, take time to relax and recover from your journey in a peaceful setting. In the evening, meet your professional birding guide for a detailed safari briefing, where you’ll learn about the itinerary, bird species you may encounter, and essential travel tips. Depending on your arrival time, enjoy a short birdwatching walk around the lodge gardens, where colorful sunbirds, weavers, and hornbills are often seen.

Day 2 – Arusha to Tarangire National Park

After an early breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park, one of Tanzania’s finest birdwatching destinations. The drive offers scenic views of local villages, Maasai communities, and rolling countryside before entering the park, famous for its giant baobab trees and large elephant herds. Enjoy a full-day game drive with a special focus on birdlife. Day 3 – Full Day Birding in Tarangire National Park

Day 4 – Tarangire National Park to Karat
