One of the original bush camps in Tarangire, tucked into the park’s quieter southern reaches where vehicle traffic all but disappears. Walking safaris and fly-camping are the camp’s signature activities, run by some of the most experienced guides on the northern circuit.

Twenty elevated treehouse rooms built around a thousand-year-old baobab, each raised above the ground on stilts with views over the surrounding marula and baobab canopy. The rooms are among the largest of any camp on the northern circuit, and a waterhole in front of the lodge keeps wildlife visiting through the day.
A genuinely luxurious standard of tent, food, and guiding at a more accessible nightly rate than the top tier — spread between camps inside the park and well-placed private concessions just outside it.

The largest lodge in this tier, with 44 spacious tents raised on wooden platforms in a palm-dotted concession on the shores of Lake Manyara. Sitting on a private wildlife corridor between the two parks means guests avoid Tarangire’s overnight concession fee and can take advantage of guided walks the park itself doesn’t permit.

A boutique camp of just seven to eight custom-designed tents on the eastern shore of the Silale swamps, one of the few genuinely inside-the-park options. Being this far in means game drives start at first light, with no queue at the gate.
